The National Genealogical Society, a nonprofit organization founded in 1903, is the premier national society for everyone from the beginner to the most advanced family historian. Its mission is to serve and grow the genealogical community by providing education and training, fostering increased quality and standards, and promoting access to and preservation of genealogical records.
Genealogists of all skill levels meet at the four-day annual NGS Family History Conference featuring an exhibit hall with more than 150 genealogy vendors, a program with a broad array of topics featuring some of the nation’s top genealogy speakers, daily genealogy organization-sponsored luncheons, a variety of pre-conference events, and more.
